The ultimate mad science manga, Dr. Kishiwada also boasts the best art of any gag manga ever. Literally, Tony Takezaki could be drawing Akira if he wanted to, since his basic style looks exactly like Otomo's, and he did actually start out doing a couple of deranged ADPolice manga. One of which boasts a completely insane English translation, with a breathtaking flamboyance few native English speakers would ever be able to achieve.
Dr. Kishiwada is the world's greatest mad scientist, and the manga is entirely about his increasingly deranged inventions. An army invading Japan? Do not fear! Dr. Kishiwada knew this might happen, so he designed the downtown office buildings so they would transform into giant robots and fire useless office workers as ammunition.
This book is so ballistically great I am frankly staggered that it never made it out here.
